A new guide which aims to support reliable recycled content procurement has been launched, it has emerged.
According to the Recycling and Waste Management News & Information website, the Waste & Resources Action Programme (Wrap) guide will aid businesses in the procurement of high quality recycled building products in an easy to understand format.
The guide, entitled the Rules of Thumb Guide to Recycled Content in Construction, offers advice and information on the best available products and according to one expert from builder's merchant Jewson, could prove a useful tool for many.
Jewson's environmental and quality director, Steve Millward, said: "We have found that higher recycled content products are being requested by our customers and this document lays down useful guidance for manufacturers and suppliers."
The Wrap partnership works alongside businesses and consumers to encourage improvements in the environmentally-responsible procurement, use and recycling of materials.
