US-based food and fruit juice company Welch's has announced that it is to utilise ClearOrbit's Gemini mobile software, as a real-time supply chain solution.
Welch's will use the software on its Oracle Process Manufacturing (OPM) in a bid to improve standards of inventory accuracy, order processing and the efficiency of productivity.
ClearOrbit's Gemini mobile software solution captures data at its source so that any errors that occur can be identified and therefore, rectified effectively.
Brad Jackson, Welch's business process owner said: "Welch's selected ClearOrbit because of its broad product set, seamless integration to Oracle, proven OPM track record and ability to deliver new capabilities as standard product."
Mr Jackson went on to state: "By partnering with ClearOrbit, we will be able to achieve significant efficiency gains and improved operational control, while fully leveraging our investment in Oracle Process Manufacturing."
The software will allow Welch's to track many processes on the shop floor, including, inventory movements and quality control.
To further improve supply chain management at Welch's, ClearOrbit's Compliance Label Manager will manage barcoding in regards to pallets and package marking.
