A new eProcurement solution has been implemented at the University of Kentucky in order to enhance student, teacher and alumni services, it has been announced.
The Systems Applications and Products (SAP) campus management application will replace the legacy software system already in place at the institution and is the fourth installed there by SAP.
Previous uses of the system have seen it put in place for financial, hospital inventory and human resources and payroll solutions, while it can also be used for registration, payments and accounting.
Coming as part of the University's Integrated Resource Information Systems (IRIS) Project, university registrar Don Witt commented that the institution was "most impressed" with SAP.
"Throughout the course of the IRIS Project, the University of Kentucky and SAP have developed and strengthened a partnership committed to improving higher education systems and services," he said.
Some 26,682 students continued their education by enrolling at the University of Kentucky in 2005.
