Web specialist Underwired has been chosen to create a new intranet service for the Institute of Cancer Research (ICR), cementing its eight year relationship with the organisation.
The company, which has already designed a website and scientific extranet for the ICR, was selected through a procurement process.
It will now work on providing an intranet service which will be used by operating groups across the research organisation, including scientists, researchers and policymakers.
Ranji Thangiah, intranet project manager at The ICR, said: "With [Underwired's] expert team leading the way I'm sure we can deliver an intranet that demonstrates advanced design and functionality that will truly meet the needs of our staff."
So far this year Underwired has won procurement deals with a number of other high profile brands, including Nickelodeon, JP Morgan, Oystercard and Peugeot and it has recently completed the redesign of Virgin Megastores' e-commerce website.
Some of its past clients include Friends Reunited, Harrods, JobCentre Plus and Orange Business Services for which it has provided online advertising and marketing.
