A new procurement contract has been agreed between a Chinese chemical technology group and a US-based engineering firm, it has emerged.
Plasteurope.com reports today that Tianjin Dagu Chemical Industry has awarded a contract to Shaw Group of Louisiana that will involve the construction of two ABS plants the firm's industrial park.
Situated in the Lingang industrial area the plants are expected to utilise emulsion ABS technology that the Shaw Group will procure from Sabic Innovative Plastics Technologies.
Last week the Shaw Group also announced that it would be involved in the Upper Hudson River dredging project which Ronald Oakley, president of environment and infrastructure at the firm, said was an important scheme to be attached to.
"With our involvement in the Hudson River project and the Fox River project in Wisconsin, Shaw is playing a significant role in two of the largest and most important sediment remediation projects in the US," he said.
