Suppliers wanting to know more about the progress and development of eprocurement in the education sector are being offered the chance to attend conferences on the subject.
Yesterday, the Department of Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) announced an event that will be led by its deputy commercial director and head of educational procurement centre.
The conference is designed to inform suppliers about OPEN - the eprocurement system used within the industry.
According to the department, suppliers are the "key" to successful use of OPEN and those in the sector wishing to learn more can do so at the event, scheduled for November 13th in London, followed by Birmingham on the 15th and Manchester on the 28th.
The DCSF is one of three newly-established government departments, alongside the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform and the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills.
