R.H Barringer, the beverage distributor, has overhauled supply chain management by announcing the implementation of new web based requisition, purchasing and sales order systems.
The company has chosen to opt for software that will make operations in the warehouse much more efficient, as well as positively affect sales and delivery output.
By introducing Intervolve's software, R.H Barringer is aiming to alter its supply chain management processes across its entire beverage distribution operations, significantly reducing the amount of paperwork needed during tasks such as purchasing.
Rick Craig, vice president of operations at R.H. Barringer, stressed the importance of the move and spoke of the benefits that the implementation of new software would give the company.
He also remarked: "We did a full discovery, roadmap, and gap analysis up front, which increased our confidence in a simultaneous implementation. We didn't want to have multiple systems working at the same time. That would have been unmanageable."
Allied to this, Mr Craig, spoke of the time consuming nature of the old method which used to have one or two employees overseeing sales reports, whereas supply chain management would now be more efficient.
R.H Barringer distributes Anheuser-Busch products, including Budweiser and Michelob beers.
