Technology trade association Intellect has launched a user guide for a suite of government procurement framework agreements, entitled Catalist.
The procurement guide has been devised in association with OGCbuying.solutions, with Intellect noting that this is the first time such a guide has been drawn up through a collaborative process.
"We see the guide as a top-level route into supporting material that provides greater detail to enable users to decide whether Catalist meets their requirements and to understand what they need to do to use it effectively," said Nick Kalisperas, director at Intellect.
Mr Kalisperas added that the guide is produced from "solid client-supplier-user understanding", something he claims is "integral" to a procurement process.
Catalist - which is an online, interactive, guide - is designed to help drive down the cost and time associated with procurement for those within the public sector who have little or no experience of the area.
OGCbuying.solutions is an agency of the Treasury's Office of Government Commerce and claims to be able to save customers an average of 77 days through its procurement process services.
