The biggest minority procurement event ever held in the UK is due to take place at the end of November.
Organised by Minority Supplier Development UK (MSDUK), the event will see industry representatives gather at the British Library Conference Centre on Friday November 30th.
Blue-chip companies including the likes of JPMorgan, Hewlett Packard, IBM, Merril Lynch and Lehman Brothers are set to meet with ethnic minority and black business owners to increase the exposure of such suppliers to major marketplaces, Black Enterprise reports.
Mayank Shah, business development director for MSDUK, remarks: "This is the largest ever procurement event we have held and it promises many commercial benefits for suppliers as well as corporate members.
"For example, suppliers will have the chance to attend pre-scheduled one-to-one meetings with buyers, as well as network with other minority businesses."
MSDUK recently announced that it had won the tender for a supplier diversity programme, supported by a £100,000 grant from East Midlands Development Agency.
