A new study has suggested that outsourcing can be more advantageous if done as a collaborative effort.
The Outsourcing Comes of Age: The Rise of Collaborative Partnering report from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) stated that success in the area is based more on partnership than procurement, according to CareandHealth.
Figures from the company showed that 91 per cent of customers will outsource again, with those in Australia, Canada and New Zealand more likely to do so when it comes to strategic functions.
And John Chang, outsourcing advisory leader with PwC commented that this may be due to smaller sectors within these countries.
"[It] is likely due to the fact that growing firms based in these countries have small domestic markets, creating the need to look externally for strategic capabilities that facilitate growth," he said.
This comes as the company today claimed that only half of consumer products executives in the US were optimistic about the country's economy over the next year.
