Morphy-Richards has just completed the successful installation of its new supply chain system.
The company installed the software last year as part of its plan to manage and track items as they travelled through the supply chain. The new system has already delivered substantial savings, according to Morphy-Richards, even though integration has only recently been finalised.
Efficient picking systems and warehouse management have contributed to cost streamlining, as have transaction dual cycling and improved stock identification capabilities.
Simon Story, business development director at the software provider, said: "Prior to the agreement, Morphy-Richards already had an effective logistics system in place, but [the new] solution means that the company can now process stock movements and track stock far more effectively.
"We are working with the company to discuss other ways in which its logistical operations could benefit from further use of our solution."
IT director at Morphy-Richards Trevor Burrows said: "The implementation has enabled us to make significant cost savings during the last 12 months, as well as significant productivity improvements in our warehouse operations."
