Chinese manufacturing company Lenovo is a "shining example" of best practice within the supply chain sector, it has been suggested.
Purchasing.com said the firm's strong leadership and strategies, coupled with its prioritisation of the matter, has resulted in the successful existence of many different business cultures working together in the same group.
Senior vice president Gerry Smith was quoted on the website as saying that having people in markets abroad was central to helping the company source from across the globe.
"We have backed up the statements of how important supply chain is by structuring an end-to-end organisation where there is full ownership," he said, adding that Lenovo has worked towards avoiding the potential problems commonly encountered in the manufacturing industry.
Lenovo specialises in products such as laptop computers, monitors, projectors and desktop systems.
