The construction firm Jacobs Engineering has picked up two large engineering, fabrication and procurement contracts from BP Products North America, it has been reported.
The deal, which will help the company with its Canadian Heavy Crude Refinery Upgrade Program in Whiting, Indiana, will see Jacobs provide licensing, design and fabrication of Sulfur Recovery Facilities, according to Earth Times.
In a statement, Jacobs Group vice president Peter Evans announced that the organization was delighted to announce the signing.
"We are pleased about the opportunity to provide BP with a broad spectrum of proven resources to execute engineering and fabrication for these two units within one of the largest refineries in North America," he said.
Jacobs employs over 45,000 people and generates revenue close to $8 billion (£4 billion).
Earlier this month, the group received a $150 million contract from Arabian Amines Corporation for engineering and project management services.
