Omni Hotels has announced that it is to introduce an online eprocurement system across its company's operations.
The hotel chain has implemented the system to provide a single online portal in which all procurement activity can go through.
Increased visibility of procurement activity across the group's properties as well greater streamlining of its procure-to-pay cycle have also been highlighted as key elements which the procurement suite will provide.
Jim Kuthy, Omni's vice-president of procurement and capital finance, indicated that all purchases will be run through the system, including food and beverages, which takes up a large proportion of the hotel chain's procurement volume.
The procurement system will be provided by Birch Street Systems, with a number of features to support organisations where food and drink is a significant part of procurement activity.
Omni Hotels is a privately-owned company which operates 39 luxury hotels and resorts throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.
