The availability of Coupa's eProcurement Express was today announced by the company.
A major feature of the package is that it is the industry's first and only freely downloadable procurement system, according to a statement from the organisation.
According to Coupa, the software combines varied functionality, necessary in the control of simple departmental and employee purchasing.
Mid-size businesses are the specific target audience for the solution, with the company calling the product "a purchasing tool [that] is easier for employees to use rather than avoid".
Similarly, it states that the software succeeds in "achieving the unfulfilled promise of e-procurement: increased savings and improved efficiency".
Last week, the organisation announced that it had secured series-A funding for new projects.
While several other companies have invested, venture capital fund BlueRun Ventures has been publicly identified as a backer.
Coupa was founded in 2006 by Dave Stephens and Noah Eisner - two former employees of procurement group Oracle.
