More than 50 eprocurement specialists are set to participate in presentations at the annual NextLevel executive conference.
The event, which will be held in Florida later this month, will focus on sharing best practice in eprocurement.
Organisers said attendees will benefit from the expertise of presenters in order to improve excellence in procurement, make cost savings and boost efficiency.
Representatives from pharmaceutical and biotechnology firms as well as academics and experts from research hospitals and group purchasing organisations are set to present at the conference.
"NextLevel provides participants with a unique opportunity to learn how research-centric organisations are tackling the business challenges they face through a more strategic approach to procurement," commented Stephen Wiehe, president and CEO of conference organiser SciQuest.
He added that everyone involved will be able to benefit from the "powerful exchange of ideas" that is expected to occur when the industry's "leading thinkers and professionals" are brought together.
Former NASA astronaut Colonel Robert C Springer is set to attend a Meet and Greet Hero breakfast which will form part of the activities during the four-day conference.
