A vendor white paper outlining the potential problems and challenges faced by firms using eprocurement systems has been released.

The document, which may be of use to those which utilise such purchasing software, discusses the objectives of eprocurement implementation and the importance of comprehensive supplier enablement.

This, it continues, is one of the key aspects of successful eprocurement; if the system has incomplete supplier information the order process may be flawed and result in "minimal transactions", according to the author.

In addition, it discusses the synergies between suppliers' services and product information, and the role of the eprocurement system in utilising this data.

The document was written by Vinimaya, which is a technology company headquartered in Connecticut.
