Carmaker Chrysler has unveiled its new head of procurement.
Simon Boag returns to the parent company after 15 months as head of production and planning at Mercedes Car Group.
He succeeds Peter Rosenfield, who announced his plans to step down on Monday.
"Peter led with distinction the global expansion of our procurement and supply strategy," said Chrysler spokesman Tom LaSorda.
Before his spell at Mercedes, Boag worked as vice president for assembly and stamping operations at Chrysler.
He joined the company in 2005 after working at rival GM, where he held a number of positions including president and CEO of the car giant's Argentina operations.
"Simon knows how to put cars and trucks together and knows how to run a business," LaSorda added.
Mr Rosenfeld will remain in his current post for a month to give his successor a chance to get to grips with the role.
When he leaves in June, Mr Rosenfeld would have been with Chrysler for a quarter of a century.
