Chief procurement officers (CPOs) from across the US and beyond are preparing to convene in Boston in mid-November for an industry summit, chaired by research firm the Aberdeen Group.
The third annual event of its kind, the CPO summit is being organised in partnership with Supply & Demand Chain Executive, Supply Chain Management Review and CPO Agenda to establish excellence and the sharing of best practice from across the industry.
Martin Fallas, procurement executive at Chiquita Brands International, remarks: "The CPO summit aligned perfectly with the challenges that our global procurement team is currently working on.
"In particular, it reinforced concepts about the relationship between an overall commodity plan and a detailed sourcing plan. Recommendations received will have a profound impact on our business."
Aberdeen Group provides research services to a wide number of industries and claims to have benchmarked in excess of 30,000 companies in the last two years.
